I’ve put off writing this post because it seemed like a very straightforward answer for me. It was always going to be Bombs Over Baghdad by Outkast. The song absolutely fires me up. It was one of the last songs I’d listen to in the car before heading into an arena to play hockey, and if it comes on randomly while I’m driving, the car inexplicably starts going at least 10 kmph faster.
It’s a song that I’m sure a lot of people would say takes up space on their workout mix, or they play it when they have something to do. It would be an easy pick.
What I learned is my ultimate pump up song is actually Carousel by Blink 182. It should be noted that it has be the version on Buddha, not Cheshire Cat which is watered down. The bass solo to start followed up by the loud making up for good vocals and guitar from Tom DeLonge fires me up. I can’t help but turn this song up as loud as I can get away with in the surroundings.
This might be a shorter post, but I don’t think there is much explaining to these selections. I also haven’t written anything here for a bit, so this is a small nudge back in the recreational writing direction.
